Chihuahua is the capital of Mexico’s largest state, a city of half a million people shaped by desert landscapes, revolutionary history, and a deeply rooted northern identity.
El Chepe is not just a train ride, it’s one of the great travel experiences of the Americas, winding through impossibly dramatic mountain and canyon scenery as it descends the Sierra Madre. Board it and watch the landscape transform around you.
Towering basalt columns rising from the desert floor like the ruins of a forgotten civilization. Valle de los Monjes is quietly one of the most otherworldly natural landscapes in northern Mexico. Few visitors find it, which makes it all the more worth seeking out.
Deeper and wider than the Grand Canyon, the Copper Canyon is a world unto itself. Ancient villages, sheer cliff faces, and a silence that stays with you long after you’ve left. The single most unmissable experience within reach of Chihuahua.
An unexpected sea of golden dunes rising from the desert, Salamayuca feels like a place that shouldn’t exist and that’s exactly what makes it so memorable. Arrive at sunrise and the landscape is nothing short of cinematic.
A few hours from the capital, the Sierra Madre Occidental holds Basaseachi Falls, Mexico’s tallest permanent waterfall at 246 meters. For attendees extending their stay, it’s the natural counterpoint to the conference’s urban setting
