The MICAI 2026 Demo Showcase Committee invites researchers, faculty members, graduate and undergraduate students, innovators, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals to submit prototypes for presentation and evaluation during the conference.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE
31 AUGUST, 2026
The MICAI 2026 Demo Showcase Committee invites researchers, faculty members, graduate and undergraduate students, innovators, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals to submit prototypes for presentation and evaluation during the conference.
This innovation showcase aims to promote the dissemination of emerging technologies, scientific developments, educational innovations, and applied research outcomes through the exhibition of functional prototypes, proof-of-concept systems, experimental platforms, and demonstrators. The initiative seeks to foster interdisciplinary collaboration while providing participants with valuable feedback regarding the usability, functionality, and potential impact of their developments.
Submissions may address, but are not limited to, the following areas:
Accepted participants will be invited to present a working prototype, demonstrator, or proof of concept during the conference exhibition sessions.
Presentations should clearly communicate:
Structured User Interaction Evaluation:
As a distinctive feature of this conference, accepted prototypes will participate in a formal user interaction evaluation process conducted in collaboration with a Mexican university. During the event, students, faculty members, researchers, and invited users from the partner institution will interact with the prototypes following a standardized evaluation protocol designed by the Innovation Showcase Committee.
The evaluation will focus on dimensions such as: usability; user experience (UX); functionality; accessibility; innovation; perceived usefulness; technical robustness; and educational, scientific, or social impact.
Participants will receive a summary report containing aggregated evaluation results and recommendations for improvement, providing valuable evidence to support future development, research publications, technology transfer activities, or commercialization efforts.
Authors must submit through the CMT system, selecting the proper Innovation Showcase track, the following:
Review Process:
All submissions will undergo peer review by members of the Demo Showcase Committee based on the following criteria:
25% Originality and Innovation
25% Scientific and Technical Merit
20% Relevance and Potential Impact
15% Prototype Maturity
15% Quality of Presentation and Documentation
Accepted submissions will be included in the conference and scheduled for live demonstration.
All accepted prototypes are the responsibility of their authors and are subject to the limitations of space and exhibition conditions.
Outstanding prototypes will be recognized through the following distinctions:
Publication Opportunities:
Selected prototypes demonstrating strong scientific merit and positive user evaluation outcomes may be invited to submit extended versions of their work to the affiliated journal, Research in Computing Science, or edited volumes associated with the conference.

We invite authors to submit their original research papers on Artificial Intelligence, written in English. The submissions must not have been previously published or be under review for another conference or journal. Only complete and finished papers will be reviewed, not abstracts. After your paper is accepted you will have a chance to improve it according to the comments of the reviewers, but the reviewers will assume that the text that they are reading is the text that is to be published, with the only changes they explicitly request (as opposed to reviewing a draft or abstract).
In particular, the papers must be submitted in the required format. We reserve the right to reject without review the submissions that do not follow the format guidelines.
Topics: All areas of Artificial Intelligence, Computational Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Fuzzy Systems, research or applications.
