GENERAL INFORMATION

MICAI is organized by Mexican Society for Artificial Intelligence (Sociedad Mexicana de Inteligencia Artificial, SMIA).

Recent MICAI events received over 300-400 submissions on average, from over 40 countries. The proceedings have been published as Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence series volumes.

Submissions are invited on significant, original, and previously unpublished research on all aspects of artificial intelligence. MICAI is open to all areas of Artificial Intelligence, either research or applications.

Papers should be submitted online using EasyChair system: http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=micai2015. Paper size included in the fee is 12 pages, in LNAI format (www.springer.com/lncs), though more pages can be used for a small additional fee; we strongly encourage authors to use as many pages as really necessary for an excellent paper -- longer papers have better impact and receive more citations. Papers must be submitted without authors' names, affiliations and self-references, in the form suitable for double blind reviewing. Submission of the paper assumes that at least one author will register at the conference and present an accepted paper or poster. Full registration fee should be paid for each accepted paper.

Workshops and Tutorials are planned as part of the conference.

The SMIA is pleased to announce the availability of a limited number of travel grants for students who are the principal authors of accepted papers and attend MICAI 2015.

Papers accepted for full (long) oral presentation will be published by Springer in a volume of the series Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence. Poster session papers will be published separately by IEEE CPS (anticipated). Special issues of journals are anticipated for best papers: at previous MICAI events, many of the papers published in LNAI were invited to special issues of journals (including ISI JCR / Scopus journals). Best papers awards will be given for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place best papers, as well as best student paper award.

IMPORTANT DATES

June 23, 2015: Expression of interest: registration of draft abstracts. Express your interste right now; you can always change your draft abstract later.

June 30, 2015: Uploading of full text of registered papers. Late submissions: contact us, or just upload your paper while the system is open.

July 25, 2015: Notification of acceptance.

September 7, 2015: Camera-ready and payment deadline


PUBLICATION

Springer LNAI (indexed in EI, ISI); IEEE CPS (anticipated); journals (including ISI JCR and Scopus journals); best papers invited to major journals (including ISI JCR and Scopus).

If you have preferences as to whether you want your paper to be included in Springer LNAI, IEEE CPS, or a journal, we will take them into account.
